Apple Festival

Each year I take part in the SSI Apple Festival, brainchild of Harry Burton of Apple Luscious Orchard. Captain Apple as he is lovingly known has reawakened the great apple growing history of the island dating back to 1860. This one day event draws thousands of apple lovers to explore the over 450 varieties organically grown and displayed at Fulford Hall and to meet farmers as they meander through the many orchards on the tour.
